Cricket 1st XI v Newlands

A great start for the 1st XI playing away at Newlands on Saturday. The weather often interrupts play at this time of the year, but fortunately it held off to let the second half of the season get underway.

It really was a team effort with all players working hard to get the win, especially Gray Laurenson & Ryan Evans, last batsmen in surviving at least 6 overs to get the win. The off season Winter Coaching in Palmerston North was very worthwhile improving the skill level & confidence of the players who were able to attend.

Match details:
Newlands 1st XI – 129/10  (Patrick Macnab 5/16 off 8.2 overs)
Paraparaumu 1st XI 130/9 (Jay Marshall 21, Jack Cowie 20, Kieran Scarrett 16)
