The Junior XI had a fantastic win in the final of the College Sport Wellington Junior 3 competition on Saturday. They batted first and scored 93 runs before bowling Scots College out for 67 on an inconsistent wicket. The Paraparumu College lads put the pressure on Scots with an intensive fielding display and accurate bowling. As captain, Nathan Hopkins led the team well and showed his class with a prolonged bowling spell and sensible field placements. The rest of the team displayed discipline and a positive focus, indicative of the season so far and a fair representation of what it takes to win five out of six matches in half a season of competitive cricket in the Wellington region.
